On these Death Cab tickets, it says ‘Under 21’s require ID to purchase alcohol’.
Now that’s a bit of Catch-22 isn’t it? If you’re over 21, you may not bring ID (as you’re over that age), but because they don’t know that, they might ask, meaning almost everyone would require ID.
And even if they didn’t ask, that means anyone under 21 could just say ‘I didn’t bring ID because I’m over 21’. Thereby adhering to the rules.
They might as well just put ‘ID Required for purchasing alcohol’.
